Omo Akintan

Omo Akintan is the University Pension Plan's Chief People Officer. She holds a JD from U of T (2004) and practiced as a labour, employment and human rights lawyer for the City of Toronto for 13 years. Until January 2022, she led the City of Toronto's People and Equity Division with responsibility for all aspects of the City’s human resources and as the City’s lead on equity, inclusion and human rights.  She migrated to Toronto from Nigeria at 16. She is passionate about people, equity and social justice.
