Robert Small, CM is an Order of Canada (OAC) recipient, nationally recognized artist, author, international speaker and impact player in the Black community. Small was awarded the OAC due to the 29 years he has produced the “LEGACY” poster featuring his artwork. Small is the only Black artist to ever be given the Order and one of the youngest Canadians to receive it in the history of Canada. Robert has impacted the Black community by making material merging Black history with STEAM, health, promoting vaccination and a summer camp directory for Black entrepreneurs. Robert is a prolific speaker and has presented over 100 workshops/speeches on topics such as Black history, Black upliftment/empowerment, white privilege, the legacy of slavery and the accomplishments of African-Canadians. He speaks regularly for national corporations, organizations, institutions and schools. Robert’s “discussions” are an amalgamation of history, societal influences, introspection, reflection, passion and forging a path for honest dialogue.
